Two organized tours are available for conference participants who express in advance their interest to register for Bucharest Sightseeing Tour and / or The Royal Tour described below.
The Bucharest Sightseeing Tour is offered to all willing participants and is included in the conference kit / fee.
The Royal Tour is an optional full day trip organized on September 30, 8:00 – 20:00. The fee is 95 euro/participant and includes: transport by bus, English speaking guide, a Romanian traditional meal and entrance fees. Additional details will be available in September 2017, pending on the number of interested participants.
The tour begins in front of the Royal Palace in Bucharest which houses the National Museum of Arts of Romania.
The main visit is at the Peleș Castle, one of the most beautiful monuments in Romania. The castle was built at the end of the nineteenth century by the first King of Romania – Carol I. Next to Peleș Castle is the Pelișor Castle, a unique art nouveau jewellery.
The Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle, is one of the most famous touristic attractions of Romania, as well as one of the favorite retreat places of Romanian Queen Maria.
The lunch will be served in Bran – Moeciu, at Cheile Gradistei restaurant, in an unique landscape, to taste traditional Romanian food.
