Ettore Bolisani

Ettore Bolisani (“Laurea” in Electronic Engineering and PhD in Innovation Studies – University of Padua) was Researcher at the University of Trieste (1996), EU TMR Research Associate at the University of Manchester (1997) and Researcher at the University of Padua. From 2002 he is Associate Professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Padua (Department of Management and Engineering), where he teaches “Innovation Management” and “ICT in Business” at post-graduate level, and he is member of the Board of the Doctoral School of Management Engineering. He was visiting scholar at Coventry University (UK) and Erasmus visiting lecturer at Kaunas Technological University (LT). He has authored papers for peer-reviewed journals, conferences and edited books on topics such as: communities of practice, knowledge transfer, knowledge protection, KIBS, and knowledge measurement. He has participated in research projects at national and EU level, and provided consultancy and training courses to multinationals and small corporations. He was Chair of the 10th European Conference on Knowledge Management (2009). He is among the founders and is the first president of IAKM (International Association for Knowledge Managment). He is Co-editor (with Meliha Handzic) of the forthcoming Book Series on “Knowledge Management and Organisational Learning” (Springer Publishing).
