Gandolfo Dominici is an academic and researcher specializing in systems thinking, business management, social cybernetics and digital transformation. He holds a PhD in Business Management at the University “Sapienza” of Rome (2004), during which he was a visiting researcher at the University of Nagasaki in Japan. He is currently a professor of Business Systems and Marketing at the University of Palermo’s Department of Economics, Business, and Statistical Sciences (DSEAS), Italy. He is cofounder, vice-president, and the Scientific Director of the Business Systems Laboratory and Director of publications of the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research, in these roles he fosters interdisciplinary studies, aiming to develop holistic approaches to complex business challenges by integrating insights from various fields.
He is an active member of the global academic community and serves on editorial boards and scientific committees. From 2016 to 2024, he served as Editor-in-Chief of Kybernetes, and he actually serves as the EiC of Int. J. of Electronic Marketing and Retailing and Int. J. of Markets and Business Systems, and he is Co-Editor of the Int. J. of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics.
His research focuses on consumer behaviour, social cybernetics, behavioural sciences, and organizational systems, with numerous publications in high-impact international journals.
