Invited as a Keynote speaker in September 2017 at the annual Strategica conference in Bucharest, I remain very impressed by the quality of the discussions on European economic policies and governance that I had there, only a few years after some very turbulent times (global financial crisis, then so-called European sovereign debt crisis). In retrospect, and after two new crises (Covid-19 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine), I can just hope for continued exchanges of views to make the European Union as a whole more resilient and exemplary. Strategica conference is the good place for that to happen.
