Dr. Daniel A. Glaser-Segura, is Retired Professor of Management at Texas A&M University – San Antonio, and is the former Director of the Office of International Education at Texas A&M University – San Antonio and was responsible for founding the international program at TAMUSA, as well as, leading numerous study trips for students and faculty at TAMUSA and Our Lady of the Lake University. At TAMUSA, he was the lead professor for supply chain management and the international business programs. Prior to his academic experience, Dr Glaser-Segura worked in Argentina, Mexico, and the USA.
Dr. Glaser-Segura has conducted research in the field of international supply chain management funded by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), National Academies of Science COBASE Program, International Research Exchange Board (IREX), and the Mexican Trade Commission (BANCOMEXT). He has also published on higher education topics with a particular emphasis on supply chain management and management development.
Dr. Glaser-Segura was awarded a Fulbright Traditional Scholarship in 2004-2005 and two Fulbright Senior Specialist Scholarships in 2006 and 2011 to teach in Romania. While there for the Fulbright programs, he taught at Universitatea Babeş Bolyai, Academia de Studii Economice, and Universitatea Ioan Cuza and also taught at other Romanian institutions of higher education on other occasions. He has traveled throughout much of Romania, studied its language, and enjoyed the friendship of his Romanian colleagues, students, and friends. In addition to Romania, Dr. Glaser-Segura has also taught, conducted research and traveled in Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico.
Dr. Glaser-Segura enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoying the art, films, food, music, and dance of other cultures.
